jusqu\u2019\u00e0 ce qu\u2019elle puisse r\u00e9apprendre la vie sans lui.<br \/>Si chaque individu vit diff\u00e9remment la mort de son animal, nous passons tous par les m\u00eames \u00e9tapes du deuil d\u00e9crites par la psychologue Elisabeth K\u00fcbler-Ross. Mais ces \u00e9tapes ne sont pas v\u00e9cues de la m\u00eame fa\u00e7on par tous les propri\u00e9taires, ni dans le m\u00eame ordre. Elles varient en force et en dur\u00e9e. Et moins la mort est attendue, plus le choc de ce d\u00e9tachement peut \u00eatre v\u00e9cu comme violent et injuste et la p\u00e9riode de deuil subie.<\/p><p>Le chemin d\u2019un deuil, ce n\u2019est pas faire table rase du pass\u00e9 avec votre animal et faire dispara\u00eetre vos souvenirs pour\u00ad \u2014in fine\u2014 l\u2019oublier. Au contraire, c\u2019est bien gr\u00e2ce au processus de deuil et \u00e0 toutes les transformations \u00e9motionnelles que vous vivez sur ce chemin du deuil de votre compagnon animal que vous sortirez \u00e0 m\u00eame de cr\u00e9er un autre type de relation avec votre animal disparu. Il s\u2019agit de retrouver de l\u2019apaisement tout en l\u2019ancrant pour toujours en vous, le sourire sur vos souvenirs partag\u00e9s. La cicatrice sera pr\u00e9sente, mais elle sera une preuve de l\u2019amour que vous avez v\u00e9cu avec votre animal et plus une blessure ouverte et \u00e0 vif.<\/p><p>Vivre un deuil affecte notre \u00eatre entier. Faire face au regard de l\u2019autre peut le rendre encore plus difficile \u00e0 vivre. Car il est souvent reproch\u00e9 un exc\u00e8s de sensiblerie aux personnes vivant le deuil de leur compagnon animal. Cette relation peut \u00eatre incomprise, sous-estim\u00e9e ou volontairement rabaiss\u00e9e par certains qui ne souhaitent pas que la place des animaux dits de compagnie change dans la soci\u00e9t\u00e9. Si le deuil animalier \u00e9tait consid\u00e9r\u00e9, l\u2019animal y gagnerait sa place. Il est donc opportun pour ces personnes de le moquer, voire de l\u2019ignorer. Et le deuil animalier reste bien souvent silencieux, invisible et incompris.
